 Thank you for your interest in The Web Design Shop. My extensive web development background dates back 12 years. I first started web developing in 1996 when I was working in San Diego for Road Runner Sports (RRS) and was the initial web designer there helping to launch their first ecommerce site. In 1996 I was responsible for creating all Road Runner Sports web
graphic design, web advertising banners & html email promotions,
optimizing all product photos for their web site(s), and developing
with Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP). Designing new web sites
for their affiliate companies, and building sites for many of their
vendors -- my creations included New Balance, Brooks Sports, and
Insport in addition to many others. After four years of ASP experience,
I then helped build a new site utilizing BroadVision’s capabilities
with Java Server Pages (JSP). After seven years, I found myself
working with a dynamic Internet team of eight extremely talented
individuals from which I acquired a wealth of skills in every aspect
ranging from web developing to marketing. In 2003, I left RRS to become a mom and have been fortunate enough to stay at home with my two children for the last 5 years. Today, I'm taking on new projects full time while building a new portfolio. I take great pride in my work and love the sense of accomplishment that comes with the success of a professionally built Web site.
